Shipping Claims
The purchaser is responsible for inspecting all products upon receipt and
before signing any delivery document. If there is product damage or missing
product (Back orders not included), this must be written on the delivery
ticket, or on the provided claim ticket. TileUniverse.com must be notified of
any concealed damage within (2) two days of acceptance of delivery, no claim
for concealed damage will be honored after (2) days.
Export
To comply with certain vendor agreements and government regulations,
TileUniverse.com Inc. reserves the right to refuse to export products from
the United States at any time. Manufacturer's warranties for exported
products may be null and void.
Ceramic and Porcelain Tile
Due to the process of manufacturing glazed and unglazed tiles, there will
inevitably be variations in size, shade, volume, weight, and surface
smoothness which are all conditions of the goods and come within normal
tolerances, and are not defects. All cartons and pieces must be blended
prior to installation. There is no guarantee that we can match dye lot
numbers, control numbers, nuance numbers, or shade numbers of tiles from any
previous order.
Floor Tile
There is no guarantee or warranty given by TileUniverse.com in respect to
the wearing, scratching, chipping, crazing, or performance of any product.
Floors over time may begin to show a loss of sheen, or a greater coarseness
in texture, this is due to wear, whether normal or abusive, and does not
constitute grounds for complaint. TileUniverse.com strongly advises the
purchaser to use the available PEI guideline in matching product suitability
with its application. Refer to the section on this website entitled "How To:
What Type Of Tile Should I Buy?".
Wall Tile
Wall tile is to be used for wall applications only.
Natural Stones
Slate, limestone, granite, and marble are all products of the earth. No
two pieces will be alike. There are positively no guarantees due to
variations in veining, texture, shading, and size. Natural stones are porous,
and recommended sealers should be applied.
Tile Sizes
The sizes listed for each tile product are nominal. The sizes for each
tile are listed to aid in its description, and are NOT to be taken as an
exact measurement.
Crazing
Crazing is an inherent aspect of highly glazed tiles, most of which are
HANDMADE TILES and some wall and floor tiles. Crazing is the formation of a
"spider-web" like appearance to the glazed surface of a tile. This effect
happens with time and no guarantee can be given against this happening.
Deliverability
All products will be shipped in approximately 2 (two) or 3 (three) weeks
from the date of the order. We reserve the right to send partial orders, and
do not guarantee that all products ordered will arrive on the same shipment.
TileUniverse.com is under no circumstances liable for extended shipping
periods or cancelled shipping due to mobilization, act of God, war, civil
unrest, strikes, lockouts, and unforeseen events which are beyond our
control. The purchaser will be notified if shipping periods are to be
extended due to manufacturer, distributor, and/or supplier delays. "Next Day
Ship" products, may not necessarily be shipped on the next day because of
holidays, weekends, orders placed after 2:00 PM EST, or product availability.
Pricing
TileUniverse.com reserves the right to change pricing without notice.
TileUniverse.com is not responsible for mis-typed descriptions or pricing.
In the event of a pricing mistake the purchaser will be notified prior to
shipping.
Due to fare hikes, fuel surcharges, etc. shipping rates are subject to change
without notice.
Product Availability and Discontinued Product
TileUniverse.com, Inc. has no control of the manufacturing of any product
on this website. TileUniverse.com, Inc. makes no guarantees on the
availability of its product. Items may be discontinued at any time. Stock
levels do fluctuate, and we make no guarantees as to when products levels
will be large enough to fill any backorders.
Samples
TileUniverse.com, Inc. makes no guarantees that orders placed will be the
exact match of any sample received prior to purchase. A sample tile is a
representation of what the tile may look like when ordered. Shading, veining,
texture, coloration, tone, thickness, and size of actual tile order may vary
from its sample.
Manufacturer Guarantees and Warranties
TileUniverse.com, Inc. gives no warranties or guarantees on tile or any
other flooring product. Any warranties or guarantees on flooring products
are given solely from the manufacturers. Any claims on product performance
or defects are to be addressed directly with the manufacturers.
TileUniverse.com will assist the purchaser in reaching the proper
manufacturer in the event of a claim.
Packaging
In the event that a manufacturer changes the amount of pieces or sheets
in a box, TileUniverse.com Inc. reserves the right to ship the equivalent
amount of square feet ordered.
